Item Name Display, Trade System, Cooldowns | diablo 2 cheats
Bashiok hits the forums to answer numerous questions on item display, cooldowns and to give hints at the upcoming trading system for Diablo 3:
We have a few different options you can pick from to display item names while they’re on the ground.
The default option is that names will show for 10 seconds when the item drops, and then the name fades out. You can hit Alt again to show them for another 10 seconds. (Diablo III default) You can also forego showing item names automatically when they drop and choose to just use Alt to show item names while it’s held down. (classic functionality) You can also choose to always show item names, and hold Alt to hide them. (I’m not sure how useful this is, but it’s there) There’s also an option to make Alt toggle showing item names on/off. (my personal favorite)
We’re also looking to bring back the /nopickup option from Diablo II, but it’s currently a nice-to-have feature and so may not make initial release.
Additionally you can rebind any and all keys in the game, so you can easily make something like the Tab (for example) key show item names instead of Alt, if you prefer.
Diablo II had a single resource mechanic (mana), and the biggest end-game skills in Diablo II are low-to-mid tier skills in Diablo III. The big “end-tier” skills we have are more complex and usually wouldn’t make sense as spammable skills, or would likely outright have to be pulled from the game if it turned out they ever could be spammable. And we have varied resource systems that we can’t just throw a problem-solver at, like Diablo II could with mana potions. For instance Call of the Ancients literally calls down the four barbarian ancients to fight alongside you. How would that work if it was spammable? Should we make it cost 100% resource to keep you from being able to spam it, and then leave you drained to cleave back enough fury to follow it up with anything? That doesn’t sound like something *I* would take. Maybe someone could find a build for it, I don’t know. Bottom line is that cooldowns allow for skill complexity or power by limiting them in a meaningful way because it can mean long-term balance even as stats inflate. We do want to make sure we’re only using them where appropriate, though. A ‘cooldown’ as a game mechanic has literally existed for millennia. A basic idea of “you can’t use that multiple times in succession” is not something new, it’s definitely nothing specific to World of Warcraft, and by spending time to make that comparison and belittle others you move further and further away from what could be a meaningful and interesting discussion of game mechanics. Now if you instead want to state that abilities shouldn’t be as big and complex as to require cooldowns, or there should be one resource system and spammable potions, I think those are completely valid viewpoints to take, they’re just not ones we agree with.
We haven’t made any announcements yet regarding trade systems, but it’s something we’ll be prepared to reveal soon™. I think it’s something people are going to be pretty psyched about, if not passionately indifferent.

Mac OS X 10.7 Support for Diablo 2 | diablo 2 cheats
Important information for those playing Diablo 2:
This summer, Apple is scheduled to release Mac OS X 10.7, Lion. Due to certain changes in the Mac operating system, StarCraft, StarCraft: Brood War, Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction will not run on Mac OS X 10.7. While these titles should still technically be able to operate under Boot Camp, we will not be able to provide support for these titles running on Mac OS X 10.7. For more information about Mac Boot Camp, please see Apple’s website: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
We will continue to offer support for these titles running on Mac OS X 10.6 and below.
At this time, we expect Warcraft III to run on Mac OS X 10.7. However, the updater that we use to apply patches does not work on Mac OS X 10.7 natively, so while a patched-up version of the game will work, you will be unable to patch up to the latest version of the game when running Mac OS X 10.7. We don’t currently have a timeline available for when we may be able to release updated patches with a compatible Updater program.
We’ll have more details for our Mac community as Lion’s release date draws nearer.
For more information about Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, please see Apple’s website: http://www.apple.com/macosx/lion/ For more information about Mac Boot Camp, please see Apple’s website: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/

Diablo Tweets | diablo 2 cheats
Bashiok hit Twitter to give us some tidbits of information:
@Diablo Will there be a midnight download for D3, instead of purchasing the game in the store.
We had digital pre-orders and downloads for Cataclysm and StarCraft II. But we haven’t made any announcements yet for Diablo III.
@Diablo So that means unless we have MF in a boss fight, we won’t be seeing any better loot in a 4 player game than we would see solo? @scaleofthought Correct, but the increased rate at which you slay demons makes it far more lucrative to group up than to play alone.
@Diablo so when is #d3 going to be available to the public?! I’m getting crazy bored with everyother mmorpg on the market. @zkep We’re still shooting to have it out before the end of the year, but as always, we only want to release it when we think it’s ready.

Diablo III Runestones | diablo 2 cheats
“Extensive character customization is one of the primary design goals for Diablo III. Players will have many ways to customize and build each of the five character classes, including charms, traits, enhancements, gems, armor, weapons, dyes, skills, and the feature we’re highlighting in this article: runestones.”
The official Diablo III website has up their page on Runestones and you can see the below video from Force Strategy Gaming:
Talismans Pulled | diablo 2 cheats
Bashiok announced that Talismans were pulled from Diablo III and offered the following explanation:
Well, I can say from feedback and testing we’ve made the decision to pull the Talisman from the initial release of the game.
It was a cool idea at its core, but right now it’s just really too basic and doesn’t provide anything you can’t get from the armor and weapons you’re equipping. It requires a lot of the player to invest time and energy into finding and storing yet another type of item just to add player stats. When they do all that, it’s just to do something pretty boring that they can already do with awesome things like armor and weapons. Originally the Talisman had a much deeper design, but it proved very ambitious and it got whittled down over the years to a very basic +stat per single square. We like simplicity in our designs, but charms became superfluous in their purpose.
We really like the core idea, but we don’t want to stop everything and spend a large amount of time trying to fix the Talisman, although we do have some great ideas already. So, it’ll very likely come back in some form or another after the game ships. And be awesome. Incoming search terms for the article:
Diablo III Beta Q3 2011 | diablo 2 cheats
May 9th’s Blizzard Conference Call dropped a very big announcement that Q3 of this year there will be an open beta for Diablo III. Mike Morhaime also stated that they are still pushing for a 2011 release of Diablo III this year as well. There’s a .pdf of all the information if you would like to see that too here with all the numbers released.
Bashiok clarified Q3 later on in the forums as well:
The 3rd quarter reference in the earning’s call today was a calendar quarter, meaning that we’re aiming to launch the Diablo III beta between July 1st and September 30th. Keep in mind that it’s our current goal, and of course that can change as development continues. Incoming search terms for the article:
Followers in Diablo III | diablo 2 cheats
Blizzard has released the details on Followers for Diablo III, first see the youtube video below:
Followers include the Enchantress, focused on ranged DPS but can also be specced into a player enhancement role.
Eirena, the enchantressPart of a mysterious band of women led by an enigmatic prophet who she says is trainingthem to prevent the end of the world, Eirena shares the same goal as the player. However, with the prophet and her sisters missing, Eirena is on her own until she meets up with you. In battle, the enchantress focuses on buffing the player while debuffing opponents with a variety of status effects.

The Templar is a heavily armored, tough character that can be specced into a very aggressive damage absorption role or into a supportive healing role.
Kormac, the templarThe templar order, like Diablo II’s paladins, is dedicated to the eradication of evil in Sanctuary. Unlike those noble warriors, the templar also believe in the enrichment and empowerment of themselves. Once you rescue Kormac from a double-cross by a corrupted templar, he assists you in melee with his shield and spear.

The Scoundrel is a throwback to the rogue of the original Diablo — a conventional ranged character who uses crossbows but also has more damage options and some light crowd control.
Lyndon, the scoundrel
A disgraced member of the Kingsport thieves guild, Lyndon will flirt with anything remotely female and steal anything not bolted down. In exchange for your protection from his murderous former guild, Lyndon will happily shoot your foes with his heavy crossbow, use poison and distraction to cripple your enemies, and increase your chances of finding valuable gems and jewelry.
Along with the official page where an FAQ, video and screenshots were released, numerous interviews were done as well.

Rune Effects, Auras, Spirits & Shouts in Diablo 3 | diablo 2 cheats
Blizzard goes banana and answer lots of interesting questions about Auras, Shouts, Spirits & Rune effects in Diablo 3. Will the UI allow for keeping track of which combo you’re on?
